Abstracts and communications
Contributions to the scientific session of the 3rd IW-TOAE are invited in the form of oral or poster communications. The official language of the meeting is English.
Oral communications will consist of 12 min presentation + 3 min for questions (15 min total). Posters will have a maximum size of 80 cm width and 120 cm length.
Abstracts are limited to two (2) pages, including references, tables and pictures (grayscale). Abstracts should be prepared using Times New Roman 11 font size and 1.5 line spacing and submitted in .doc or .rtf formats. Before submitting, please ensure that tables (.xls) and pictures (.cdr, .tif, .jpg) are readable concerning font size, line thickness, and colour scheme. The intended placement of these items should be indicated inline in the manuscript.
As an option, the participants can have their abstracts published as a preprint in Peer J, if this indication is given during the registration. This is a peer-reviewed & Open Access journal publishing primary research and reviews in biology, life sciences, environmental sciences, and medicine. You can read more about PeerJ preprints and see examples of previously published conference abstracts in https://peerj.com/collections/ . Being available online and having a DOI number are the advantages of publishing the abstracts as a preprint.
The preferred mode of presentation (oral or poster) should be indicated during the registration.
The manuscript, with separate files for tables and figures, should be sent by E-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org) using the template available in the official workshop website (http://igcp655-toae.com/iw-toae/), no later than May 3rd, 2018. Abstracts received after this day will not be accepted due to typesetting and printing deadlines. The Abstracts Book will only include accepted abstracts by the Scientific Committee and after the registration fees are paid in full. By 31st of May 2019, a notification regarding abstract acceptance will be sent.
